As is the case with many countries, it is a legal requirement from the Administration/Bureau of Public Security of China to register visitors from overseas within 24 hours of arrival at a hotel. Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) has a dedicated Foreign Affairs Office who have authorisation to register visitors to campus, they will liaise on your behalf to register your arrival on campus to the Administration/Bureau of Public Security.
