NIBS is pleased to announce the launch of the NIBS Annual Conference Proceedings, a new publication designed to showcase the breadth and quality of activity across our network. Contributions will be sought from members in early to mid-September, allowing time to prepare material that can also be cited as a formal publication for CVs, career development, and promotion purposes.
The first edition will be published as a downloadable PDF on the NIBS website in early October 2026. As an annual online publication, the proceedings offer flexibility in format and length without the constraints of a traditional book. The proceedings will provide a comprehensive overview of NIBS activity throughout the year. Content will include information and messages from the Board, a list of key contacts for all Board members, reports from the different NIBS competitions. Contributions from new members, accredited and reaccredited institutions, and general member updates will also be featured. Dedicated sections will highlight the David Gillingham Award and annual conference, each with introductions, submitted entries, shortlisted contributions, and profiles of the winners. This promises to be an exciting new initiative and a chance for members to disseminate the innovative work that takes place.
Members’ Opportunities Session: Members are invited to share international collaboration ideas, exchange programs, and partnership opportunities across universities.
NIBS Research Session: Presentations of current research.
The David Gillingham Awards: Sharing of excellence in international business education, collaboration, and innovation.
Competences for the Future Workforce:Participants are invited to share proposals, research, and initiatives aligned with these competencies for future NIBS collaboration and dissemination.

Getting to Kolding
Kolding, a charming city in southern Denmark, is well connected and easy to reach from several major transport hubs. One of the most common routes is via Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital. From Copenhagen Airport (CPH), you can take a direct train to Kolding operated by DSB, Denmark’s national railway company. The journey takes roughly 2½ to 3 hours and offers a comfortable ride through the scenic Danish countryside. Alternatively, you can rent a car at the airport and drive across Zealand, over the Great Belt Bridge, and down through Funen into Jutland — a trip of around 3 hours, depending on traffic.
Another convenient option is to travel through Billund, home to Billund Airport (BLL), which is the closest major airport to Kolding at just about 40 kilometres away. Billund offers frequent flights to other European cities, making it a practical gateway for international visitors. From Billund Airport, you can reach Kolding by bus or car in roughly 45 minutes. Buses run regularly between the airport and Kolding’s main station, or you can take a taxi or rental car for more flexibility.
