NIBS oversees three international business competitions, both aimed at students at the undergraduate level.
- The NIBS Worldwide Case Competition has been in operation since 1996, and regularly attracts participants from business schools around the world. The 16 qualifying teams are invited to a Championship Round hosted by a NIBS member institution; locations have included Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Guatemala, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the UK, and the United States.
- The NIBS Worldwide Business Plan Competition was launched in 2011, and also consists of a Qualifying and Final Round. Unlike the Case Competition, the final round is conducted electronically, and viewed/judged by video and remote link at the NIBS Annual Conference.
- The NIBS/EcoSim Business Simulation Competition was launched in 2021, to reflect the challenges of the global pandemic, this competition is 100% online and designed to support internationalisation on campus.
Any NIBS member school may enter a team in these competitions. For additional details regarding eligibility and registration procedures, please click on the links above.
