NIBS welcomes Korea’s SolBridge to Network

SolBridge International School of Business, a unit of of Korea’s Woosong University, is the newest addition to the NIBS network.

Established in 2007, SolBridge has a total enrollment of 140 Masters students and nearly 1,000 undergraduates. The school has 40 full-time and 8 part-time faculty members, along with 20 language instructors that support students in English, Chinese, and Korean.

Located in Daejeon, South Korea’s fifth-largest city, SolBridge is among the world’s most international business schools. More than 70% of students and 80% of faculty originate from outside Korea, representing over 40 countries on all five continents. The school also has a strong network of 200 partner universities in 60 countries, a number which continues to expand.

“International is the core of who we are as a school,” notes Romain Bartolo, regional manager for Europe. “Our mission is to prepare students for opportunities anywhere in the world, and NIBS membership greatly enhances our ability to do that.”

SolBridge is AACSB accredited, and offers fully English-taught Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Business Administration with specializations in International Management, Finance, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. In 2014, it received a USD 5.1 million grant from the Korean Ministry of Education to further support its internationalization efforts.

The school is looking to send students to other NIBS schools on international exchange, and can host incoming students for academic exchange, study abroad, or dual degree programs at both the undergraduate and Master’s levels. Students from partner universities can access all courses without restriction, as well as priority registration. Study abroad and dual degree students are also eligible for tuition scholarships.

SolBridge also hosts a single-round Business Case Competition each October, featuring teams from more than a dozen partner universities around the world.
