The conference, which will be held in Lima, Peru from March 8-10, 2017, is aimed at international business scholars and practitioners with a specific interest in Latin America.
This year’s conference will focus on the role of multinational corporations and their role in Latin American economies and societies: How should they respond to weak growth and social inequality? What business models should they pursue? Which firms can expect to reap reputational benefits from responding to these pressures? Although special consideration will be given to papers related to the conference theme, we also welcome papers more broadly based on international business and Latin America. The submission deadline for papers is September 30, 2016, and decisions regarding acceptance will be communicated by November 15, 2016.
The AIB-LAT conference features events specifically designed for Ph.D. students and young scholars who want to receive developmental feedback from experienced researchers on their current research projects. Pre-conference activities include a doctoral consortium and paper development workshops, including an English-language session sponsored by the Journal of International Business Studies.
