Luc Vanhille Lifetime Contribution Award 2

Dr. Luc Vanhille receives the Lifetime Contribution Award from NIBS president Ian Charles

Dr. Luc Vanhille was recognized for more than two decades of leadership during tonight’s gala dinner at the NIBS Annual Conference in Breda, Netherlands.  He becomes the inaugural recipient of the NIBS Lifetime Contribution Award, a distinction created this year to honor individuals who have made an extraordinary contribution to NIBS, its member schools, and the internationalization of business education.

Vanhille, recently retired as head of the business department at Belgium’s UC Leuven-Limburg, has been involved with the network since shortly after its inception in 1993.  He has served as a NIBS Board member for most of the past decade, helping to coordinate strategic direction, finances, and general administration.  He is also a long-time advocate for internationalization in business education, and was instrumental in transforming the business school at UC Leuven-Limburg (formerly KH Leuven) into a globally-recognized institution with exchange programs and partnerships around the world.

“Luc has been a tireless advocate for NIBS and for students,” observed president Ian Charles. “It is a pleasure to honor that remarkable contribution with an award that recognizes his many years of service.”
