Jackson State awarded NIBS International Accreditation

The College of Business at Jackson State University has been awarded NIBS international accreditation, following a site visit by a peer review panel earlier this month.

The accreditation panel consisted of Prof. Ian Charles, NIBS President and Associate Dean at the International Business Academy (Denmark), and Dr. Memo Diriker, Director of the Business Economic and Community Outreach Network at Salisbury University (USA).  JSU was represented by Dr. Ramin C. Maysami, Dean of the College of Business, along with over 30 members of the school’s faculty, staff, and students.

In awarding accreditation, the panel JSUfinalmade special note of the school’s of high degree of commitment to internationalization, and its innovative initiatives to expose students to experiences outside of the United States. Of particular note was the Passport to the World program, a groundbreaking initiative that facilitates international exchange for students, and promotes international diversity within the School of Business and the wider commercial and social environment in Mississippi.

Jackson State University is located in Jackson, the capital city of Mississippi, in the heart of the American South.  The College of Business offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with seven concentrations, a Master of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accountancy, and a PhD in Business Administration.
